In my short interactions with Andre Vltchek over the last couple of years I always told him that I would one day resume my English language writing and join him in the global fight, English being the new Esperanto and de facto global language of our age, in 2020 we lost quite a few strong voices on the Left, David Graeber, Kevin Zeese (my fellow comrade at the Hands Off Syria Coalition), Zeev Sternhell, Stephen Cohen, Michael Brooks and John Papworth (who I failed trying to help revive the defunct Fourth World Review) and I decided the time was now. My voice will be but a whimper supplying Autarkies.com with my broken English, but I had to give it a try.

I'm a Columnist and book critic at the Portuguese language edition of Pravda.ru, editor at Libertaria.pt, member of the local (civil parish) government (Socialist Party), Socialist Libertarian, publisher, translator, member of the Advisory Board of the International Lusophone Movement, founding partner of the Portuguese Institute of Higher Studies in Geopolitics and Auxiliary Sciences, former delegate of the Korean Friendship Association, activist at the Portuguese Council for Peace and Cooperation, at the Hands Off Syria coalition and at the Hands Off Venezuela campaign, blogger at Portugal for Bernie Sanders.

Contributing writer and translator at the Centre for Research on Globalization (Canada) and at the Center for a Stateless Society (USA), former journalist for “Your VIP Partner” magazine and “O Diabo” weekly newspaper. Azorean and many other things, now writing in English language at Autarkies, my personal blog aimed at an international audience. I have been translating and writing articles and essays for journals, newspapers, book publishers, websites, and blogs since I was 15 years old (since 12 if you include my school newspaper). Overall, I have over 20 years’ experience as a writer and translator.
